Currently paying for my Orthopaedic Specialist exam. I keep clicking “recalculate” on the ridiculous $810 “exam fee” after paying my $265 “application fee” waiting for the screen to say “My bad, G. This shouldn’t cost so much. Let’s call it even.”

I completely agree- but that frustration needs to be directed at insurance reimbursement, not employers. Can’t pay $50/hr when reimbursement can be as low as $35/visit.

I'm writing an article on if staff PT's can earn $100K a year. Then I'm remembering a conversation with my director discussing my desire for a raise.
I just wanted to say that there is nothing wrong in expressing feeling devalued if you do not feel adequately compensated.

Your plan covers PT
Your evaluation by a PT says you need PT
This “gatekeeper” stuff benefits no one but the insurance company. Regulate restrictive practices!
