🧠 A randomized trial evaluating changes in post-#concussion symptoms and exercise intolerance was recently published in #PTJournal: academic.oup.com/ptj/advance… Researchers found that a sub–symptom threshold aerobic exercise (SSTAE) intervention delivered by #PhysicalTherapists was superior to a usual care control group for improving exercise intolerance, 🏃 but did not lead to greater reduction in symptom burden.

⚠️ An important review and meta-analysis emphasizes the high frequency of minor adverse events associated with #DryNeedling. In their review of 59 articles, authors found that dry needling commonly produced minor adverse events, ranging from 0% to 48.15% per treatment and from 2.56% to 72.73% throughout a clinician’s career. Major adverse events per treatment were uncommon (0%-0.43%) but were reported by 0.98% to 39.14% of professionals when assessing their complete clinical practice. academic.oup.com/ptj/advance…
