In the family sweepstake, two of the teams I've pulled are South Africa and Czech Republic.
So a good, solid start then.
Still, there is always... Iran and USA to rely on.
Brazil not the out and out favourites for the World Cup? Surely there should be some sort of piece talking about how they've 'lost their aura.'

This journalist put out a hit piece on a young, trainee reporter, slagging off the interview he did in connection with this story.
Now, a year on, he uses part of the interview that he thought was useless in his own story.
Ho hum.

Sadly, I've sat through numerous court cases over the past 20 years where families have had to pay tribute to lost loved ones. It never gets easier. In fact, the more you do it, the harder it gets.
My thoughts are with all of Carmen Coulson's loved ones.
I've been in court where Peterborough man Gregory Coulson has been given a life sentence with a minimum term of 26 years for the murder of his mother, Carmen Coulson. Full story online shortly
The Peterborough Telegraph (among others) reported the council would recover between £2-£3m last month. The rumoured £2.8 figure is potentially new, but not a massive move forward on what has already been reported

EXCLUSIVE: CambsNews understands Peterborough's unfinished Hilton hotel has been sold for £2.8m.

Another big exclusive story on the front page of tomorrow's Peterborough Telegraph. Its great to be able to have these big stories on the front of the paper, and not just online! #buyapaper
Checking through some of the data for the PT from May. It appears that our 'page views' figure was 17% above our average over the past 3 months. Thanks to everyone who continues to read the website, social media and, of course, the paper itself.
I've worked at the PT for nearly 20 years now, but I've just been to a pretty iconic Peterborough location for the first time this afternoon.
Full story online in the next couple of days!
On This Day 5/27/1994: marks the anniversary of one of the most memorable games in the long history of the New York Rangers. When Stephane Matteau scored on a wraparound to win the game 2-1 against the New Jersey Devils in double overtime, it sent the Rangers to the SCF.
This 'era' of Team GB ice hockey has been just incredible - unless you've followed it, you can't explain what its been like.
These 3 have been key parts of that. So many iconic moments.
Watched THAT France game in bed ill. possibly my favourite ice hockey memory.
📝 Monday night saw the curtain come down on three remarkable international careers as Josh Tetlow, Ben Bowns and Robert Dowd played their final games for Great Britain. Read more ➡️ tinyurl.com/mtd9x26m
It was great to have this exclusive on the front page of the newspaper as well as the website this morning - very rare for a print and web exclusive to be published on the same day nowadays.
Another load of offensive facebook comments deleted, and people blocked from the PT page. Sigh. Why can't people just, you know, be nice, kind and respectful?
For many years I've said that Peterborough should highlight itself as the capital of history and pre-history - which other city has the range of artefacts and story we have? Its great to see this campaign launched!
