We’ve been hard at work to deliver new standardized trash and recycling carts to keep our neighborhoods clean for all Providence neighbors. Last week we kicked off the pickup process of the old carts and distribution of the new carts. Not only are these carts bigger but they are also better labeled than the old carts to help our neighbors determine how to dispose of various items. ♻️
Wondering when you’ll receive your new carts? Check the 🔗 in our bio to submit your address with an update on when you can expect your new carts.

Winter weather can take a toll on our streets, and with the recent storms, crews are seeing more potholes across Providence. Freeze and thaw cycles, plowing operations and winter conditions can all contribute to potholes forming this time of year.
Our teams are actively repairing potholes on city streets and will continue making improvements as we head into the 2026 paving season.
If you see a pothole, please report it so it can be addressed as quickly as possible:

Providence includes a number of roads maintained by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation. Reports submitted to the correct agency help ensure repairs happen faster.
