The question is whether Pennsylvania is willing to do what is right. Young children should not be sent onto public transit because state law leaves room for unequal treatment. Propel Schools is fighting for a fix. #CloseTheTransitPassLoophole @RepSchweyer @PAHouseDems

For those who don’t know - Many school districts give children a routine, public bus pass (regardless of age) and expect them to navigate public busing to get to school because that’s all the state requires. Think about it - a child either walking to school along a very unsafe route or being placed in a bus with adults and strangers - they are as young as 5 years old! This is punitive and immoral. These students deserve a safe route to school.
