During my warm and cordial telephone conversation this evening with my brother, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar, I conveyed my profound appreciation for Qatar’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s peace efforts throughout the Gulf crisis. We exchanged views on the latest developments regarding the landmark peace deal. We remain hopeful that this historic endeavour would lay a strong foundation for lasting peace and stability across the region.

During their warm and cordial conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed his warm greetings and good wishes to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar as well as to the brotherly people of Qatar. These sentiments were reciprocated by the Qatari Prime Minister. The Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for Qatar’s strong and steadfast support for Pakistan’s peace efforts throughout the Gulf crisis and stated that a peace deal was ready for signatures by the relevant parties very shortly. While sincerely appreciating Pakistan’s remarkable efforts for peace, the Qatari Prime Minister paid tribute to the Prime Minister and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for playing an instrumental role in steering the diplomatic efforts. He assured the Prime Minister that Qatar was proud to extend its support to Pakistan’s endeavors and hoped that this would bring lasting peace to the region. The Prime Minister also reiterated his invitation to His Highness the Amir of Qatar to undertake an official visit to Pakistan very soon, as was agreed between the two leaders. Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact in the coming days.

We are closer to a peace deal than ever before. With finalisation likely expected in the next 24 hours, Pakistan is preparing for the electronic signing of the peace deal immediately after, followed by technical level talks next week. اسلام آباد: 10 جون 2026. وزیراعظم محمد شہباز شریف نے ملکی جامعات میں آئی ٹی کے شعبے میں اعلی تعلیم کے حوالے سے اجلاس کی صدارت. اجلاس سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے وزیرِ اعظم نے کہا کہ نوجوانوں کو ملکی جامعات میں آئی ٹی کے شعبے میں فراہم کی جانے والی تربیت بین الاقوامی مارکیٹ کے تقاضوں کے مطابق ہم آہنگ کیا جائے. بد قسمتی سے ملک کی اکثر جامعات میں آئی ٹی کے شعبے میں فراہم کی جانے والی تعلیم جدید عصری تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ نہیں ہے. وزیراعظم نے پاکستان بھر کی جامعات میں آئی ٹی کے شعبوں میں فراہم کی جانے والی تعلیم و تربیت کے تھرڈ پارٹی آڈٹ کرانے ہدایت کی. وزیراعظم کی نوجوانوں کو جدید تقاضوں سے ہم آہنگ اور نئی ابھرتی ہوئی ٹیکنالوجیز جیسے اے آئی، ڈیٹا سائنس، روبوٹکس وغیرہ میں بہترین آئی ٹی تربیت فراہم کرنے کے لیے روڈ میپ جلد پیش کرنے کی بھی ہدایت. اجلاس کو پاکستانی جامعات سے آئی ٹی کے شعبے میں فارغ التحصیل طلباء کی صلاحیتوں کو جانچنے کے لیے ایچ ای سی کی جانب سے حال ہی میں منعقدہ ٹیسٹ کے نتائج کے حوالے سے آگاہ کیا گیا۔ بریفنگ میں بتایا گیا آئی ٹی کے طلباء کے لیے منعقدہ نیشنل سکلز کومپیٹینسی ٹیسٹ میں پورے ملک کے 190 اعلیٰ تعلیم کے اداروں سے 33038 طلباء پیش ہوئے. اجلاس کو مزید بتایا گیا کہ ٹیسٹ میں صرف 0.4 فیصد طلباء نے 80 فیصد سے زائد، 3.6 فیصد طلباء نے 68-79 فیصد، 13.2 فیصد طلباء نے 58-67 فیصد اور 21.3 فیصد طلباء نے 50-57 فیصد نمبر حاصل کیے، جب کہ 61 فیصد طلباء 50 فیصد سے کم نمبر لئے. ٹیسٹ ملک کے مختلف شہروں میں قائم کردہ سینٹرز میں کڑی نگرانی اور مکمل شفافیت کے ساتھ منعقد کیے گئے. ٹیسٹ کا مقصد ، وزیر اعظم کی ھدایت کے تحت، ان آئی ٹی طلبا کو یونیورسٹیوں میں فراہم کی جانے والی تعلیم و تربیت کو مارکیٹ میں درکار ہنر اور مہارت کی ضروریات کے مطابق جانچنا تھا۔ وزیر اعظم کا ٹیسٹ کے نتائج میں مطلوبہ معیار حاصل نہ ہونے پر اظہار برہمی۔ بریفنگ میں مزہد بتایا گیا کہ ٹیسٹ کے نتائج کی روشنی میں ملک بھر کی جامعات میں آئی ٹی کے شعبے میں اعلی تعلیم کے حوالے سے اصلاحات پر کام شروع ہو چکا ہے. اجلاس میں وفاقی وزیر اقتصادی امور احد خان چیمہ، وزیر آئی ٹی شزہ فاطمہ خواجہ، چیئرمین ایچ ای سی پروفیسر ڈاکٹر نیاز احمد اختر چئیرمین پرائم منسٹر یوتھ پروگرام رانا مشہود احمد خان اور متعلقہ اداروں کے اعلیٰ افسران شریک تھے۔
