Following intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that the Peace Deal between the United States of America and Islamic Republic of Iran has been REACHED. Both sides have declared the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon. The official signing ceremony will be on Friday, 19 June in Switzerland. We would like to thank the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their commitment to finding a diplomatic solution to the conflict. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in this mediation effort, the great leadership of State of Qatar, for their support in reaching this agreement. During my warm and cordial telephone conversation this evening with my brother, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar, I conveyed my profound appreciation for Qatar’s steadfast support for Pakistan’s peace efforts throughout the Gulf crisis. We exchanged views on the latest developments regarding the landmark peace deal. We remain hopeful that this historic endeavour would lay a strong foundation for lasting peace and stability across the region.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar, this afternoon. During their warm and cordial conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed his warm greetings and good wishes to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar as well as to the brotherly people of Qatar. These sentiments were reciprocated by the Qatari Prime Minister. The Prime Minister expressed his deep appreciation for Qatar’s strong and steadfast support for Pakistan’s peace efforts throughout the Gulf crisis and stated that a peace deal was ready for signatures by the relevant parties very shortly. While sincerely appreciating Pakistan’s remarkable efforts for peace, the Qatari Prime Minister paid tribute to the Prime Minister and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for playing an instrumental role in steering the diplomatic efforts. He assured the Prime Minister that Qatar was proud to extend its support to Pakistan’s endeavors and hoped that this would bring lasting peace to the region. The Prime Minister also reiterated his invitation to His Highness the Amir of Qatar to undertake an official visit to Pakistan very soon, as was agreed between the two leaders. Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact in the coming days.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting with Pakistan's Ambassadors to Iran and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries at the Prime Minister's Office. During the meeting, issues relating to the strengthening economic diplomacy, enhancing trade and investment ties, remittances, and Pakistani diaspora, were discussed. The Prime Minister directed the Ambassadors to work proactively on enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy, people-to-people contacts etc.

Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 chaired the closing session of the Regional Envoys’ Conference held in Islamabad from 14–18 May, 2026. DPM/FM took stock of the comprehensive deliberations and key recommendations emerging over the past few days. In his closing remarks, DPM/FM underscored Pakistan’s longstanding , historic and brotherly relations with the Gulf countries, reaffirming the commitment to further strengthen these important partnerships across political, economic, and people-to-people dimensions. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhance economic engagement and promoting regional peace and stability.
