Trump has a meltdown and ends the interview Welker: Just to be very clear, there's no evidence of what you're saying. Trump: There’s a lot of evidence. There’s tremendous evidence. There’s nothing but evidence. The election was rigged. And it’s happening again in California. They’re cheating. Welker: Do you have evidence? Trump: All I have to do is look. Welker: That’s not evidence. The local officials acknowledge they are slow Trump: They’re crooked. Just like you’re crooked. You’re either crooked or stupid.

The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began. The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start. Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have. If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

One of my favorite meals and works with lamb, pork, turkey, and the more traditional ground beef. Follow the link & enjoy!
Lately, most of our weeknight meals need to be fast, easy to prep, or even freezer-friendly for future dinners. How about you? If you too, are affected by adulting, my Turkey Picadillo (Picadillo de Pavo) is here to help. senseandedibility.com/turkey… #picadillo

My dad retired at 59 I will not He had a pension. I have a 401k I can barely fund. He bought his house at 28. I can't touch a down payment at 30. He paid $90 a month for health insurance. I pay $430. At dinner he told me I need to be smarter with money. I nodded. Didn't tell him his entire life was built on an economy that no longer exists. Didn't tell him my generation is paying for his Social Security while ours gets gutted. Didn't tell him the ladder he climbed got pulled up right after him. Just passed the potatoes. Make it make sense

Why are they so upset? You excluded POC for ENTIRE GENERATIONS, you make us feel unwelcome now that we’re no longer excluded, and when we celebrate each other, you get mad? GTFOH
Naomi Osaka on why she chose to host a party for the black tennis players: “You know I'm seeing a little bit of- ‘Why can't you love everyone for all skin tones?’ and ‘what if someone had an all white party?! First of all I do love everyone for who they are no matter their race ethnicity, (I'm literally half Japanese lol). I can only speak from my experiences in my own life though, growing up as a tennis player I didn't see many people that looked like ME and I feel like it's important to celebrate them. Secondly I feel like it's important to note that there have been all white dinners/parties. I don't know how else to tell you this, I literally seen them all the time and never had an issue with it at all. To the people who ask this question I want to ask you this question too, ‘What is it about POC getting together that unsettles you so much?’ I want to end this by saying I grew up watching my dad get discriminated against, having the cops called on him multiple times at the tennis court. There are multiple things I will apologize for in my life but celebrating being black and appreciating who we are will never be something I would consider saying sorry for. Thanks. Actually I lied, I am sorry. I'm sorry for the people who cannot comprehend in their brains that this is not about exclusion, this is a celebration about how far we have come 🖤” (via Naomi on Threads)

For those who want to better understand the Supreme Court’s ruling to further gut the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Take a moment to listen to this explainer by Abbie VanSickle from NYT. We are now in a redistricting arms race. This is not democracy, it’s an election war crime fuelled by the fear of losing power and facing accountability. 🎥 TikTok - vm.tiktok.com/ZNRgqn3K8/

Houston activists shut down a gas station after a clerk forced a 13-year-old boy to use the restroom outside and recorded him. The boy needed to use the restroom so badly that he went behind the building, pooped, and used grass to wipe himself. The employee inside the store recorded it and showed other middle school kids that were stopping in the store while saying things like, "Look at his wee-wee, look at his butt" while they laughed and recorded it.

This exchange between @SenBlumenthal and Trump’s judicial nominees is utterly astounding. If you can watch this and still think this country isn’t falling into authoritarianism and fascism under Donald Trump, then you are not being honest with yourself.
