Is this a typo or is this actually what they meant? Not following the bottom 2 bullet points considering you can’t control who you’re matched with. If you’re getting matched against lower ranks more often, outperforming them, then you’re taking sr hits still?
New Ranked Play SR updates are now live:
➡️ Outperforming a player 2 Ranks above you now provides a 40 SR bonus
➡️ Outperforming a player 1 Rank below you now only results in -10 SR (previously -20 SR)
➡️ Outperforming a player 2 Ranks below you will still result in -20 SR
These changes are intended to reduce the negative impact of Opponent Rank Adjustments for players ahead in the SR journey who've been facing off against players mostly below their Rank.
Like a true ELO system, the quality of your opponents matters, and you'll need to beat the best to receive the biggest gains. 💪

Black Ops 7 NEEDS Lobby Leaderboards and the ability to view other players combat records. Was such a cool feature of older CODs that added substance to the game. With the new matchmaking I don’t see reason not to at least add lobby leaderboards.

They’re just lying now because I’ve watched my lobbies change as soon as I get back to the pre-game lobby *only* when I’m doing better than a 3kd in my last match. Yes that’s in their “minimal sbmm” playlist.That’s not persistent lobbies, that lobby mechanic only exists for SBMM
We've been keeping an eye on Multiplayer matchmaking conversations and want to assure everyone of a few things:
➡️ All of our Open Playlists use Open Matchmaking and Persistent Lobbies and we remain committed to that approach.
➡️ Quick Play uses the same Open Matchmaking, where skill is minimally considered.
➡️ The combination of Quick Play and Persistent Lobbies is new and presents unique interactions that we are monitoring to improve over time.
Speaking of Quick Play: if you’ve seen some of your selections occasionally overridden when playing, we've deployed a fix for that today.
