Alright. This is an exciting one β€” thanks to the hard work of @c_gro , our company Respoke Collection got featured in the September edition of Road and Track! Very cool seeing our little idea in such an iconic magazine. Thanks to @KyleKinard for the write up!

When starting @ConstantHire I spent $15k on Google ads to drive new business. Zero new clients. So I stopped spending time on marketing & just doubled down on having a really good service for the maybe 4-5 customers we had back then. Since then, 80% of our new clients have come from referrals.

The cost to "do things" will plummet over the next 5 years. You'll be able to build high-output muli-million dollar teams on a $200/yr Chat GPT subscription. Here are 5 predictions on how it will impact your team. 1. Entry level jobs are going to become obsolete (or glorified internship programs). 2. Teams will be smaller & 10x more efficient compared to existing teams. 3. Everyone will be "technical" (coding will feel like writing. deploying AI agents will be a Microsoft Excel level skill) 4. Bad managers will look at the cost savings on the bottom line of a P&L. Good managers will see this as an opportunity to overpay and get talent they couldn't afford before. 5. This will hurt overseas hires the most in the short term.

Hiring someone to run & grow a business with. We've been incubating it for last 3 months. It's been getting traction & solid feedback. Now we just need someone with more time to add ⛽️ to the πŸ”₯ It's an e-commerce brand in the SMB space. Why this? β€’ $20k in seed capital monthly payment for you. β€’ Work 20 hours a week to start (can scale up and down from there). β€’ Opportunity for profit share potential equity. Both founders have built 7-figure brand & have had exits before (in the e-commerce space)... will be a fun time πŸ™‚ DM's open.

This is huge. We rewrote our JD and had >2x the number of applications. ~50% of people specifically brought it up as a reason that they applied.
1. Copywrite job ads Most job posts are written like it’s 1995 -- When employers still had leverage. That time is over. Craft job postings that: β€’ have clear and exciting writing β€’ speak to the employee’s emotions/desires β€’ sell the mission … to get candidates.

4 days ago I wanted to upgrade to @airtable enterprise. Went through their process: mtg w. BDR, AE. Signed contract 5 minutes after they sent it over (Wed. AM). My account is still not upgraded. Our biz is at a standstill until this goes thru. Top it all off with this 🀯

While I'm a big fan of the 4 day workweek, that is not an acceptable reason for not dealing with customer issues in a timely manner. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I'm the biggest Airtable fan. But this process is making me seriously question things.

I know that enterprise sales are supposed to be 'slow'. But this is beyond the sales process. It's a bad customer experience. @howietl @aofstad I'd recommend taking a long look at this. It can't be good for anyone involved.
1
It's insane that @airtable makes you talk to a sales rep to upgrade to their enterprise plan. We hit some limits there and I want to upgrade ASAP -- probably going to take 48 hours just to buy what I already want.

Also -- the last time I tried to upgrade the rep basically told me that we weren't worth his time and to contact support for a workaround instead.
