In a world where we’re treated like Show Ponies with almost no Equity, it’s time we change that narrative! I’ve never been more proud to be apart of, and happy to celebrate the beauty that is #BlackHistoryMonth ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿🌍💖

The AES (Alliance of Sahel States – Niger 🇳🇪, Mali 🇲🇱, Burkina Faso 🇧🇫) has just signed an agreement with Russia for the upcoming launch of a telecommunications satellite that will cover all three countries of the alliance, while awaiting the three (03) high-altitude satellites ordered from Russia in November 2024, under agreements signed with the Russian company Roscosmos, with delivery scheduled within four years. These include a communications satellite, a detection satellite, and a radar satellite for defense and security. The agreements also included the training of young Burkinabè, Malians, and Nigeriens in satellite operations, who will take control of these satellites after their deployment. It should also be recalled that during the Russia–Africa ministerial summit in 2024, Burkina Faso 🇧🇫 signed an agreement with Russia for the joint construction of satellites, which would also mean the transfer of knowledge in the space field.

Burkina Faso 🇧🇫: THIS IS INCREDIBLE! Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ strikes again by endowing the country with two government data centers. This means that Burkinabe's data will no longer be managed by imperialists. That's it. With a total capacity of 3,000 tonnes of storage, 105,600 GB of memory and 28,800 CPU cores, the two centers will be able to house more than 7,000 virtual machines. They guarantee continuity of public services, increased data security and significant economies of scale. Estimated at more than FCFA 15 billion, the investment is expected to generate a net economy of FCFA 85 to 95 billion over ten years. With this initiative, Burkina Faso affirms its willingness to build a full and assumed digital sovereignty, in the service of modernity and state autonomy.

🇬🇭 Youssef Nkrumah, grandson of Ghana’s first President Kwame Nkrumah, has expressed disappointment over Kotoka International Airport’s name. On his first visit to Ghana, he said he was confused and felt a sense of lost pride. He argued that airports worldwide are often named after great leaders, and believes Ghana’s main airport should reflect national pride rather than honor someone he views as having betrayed the country.
