Did you know Philadelphia owns the largest public gas utility in the U.S., Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW)? Yet, despite being owned by the city and its residents, PGW lacks transparency on how it plans to transition from fossil fuels to meet Phillyâs carbon neutrality goal.

@MyPGW 's own GHG Emissions Reduction Plan* reveals that PGW's annual GHG reduction goal = < 1% of PGW annual emissions. PGW is on track to blow thru Phila's 2050 net zero goal. they've no plan to avoid increased costs for a shrinking rate base of dispropo LI folks. 3/4
