#RomanSiteSaturday: the public latrines in #Ostia are among the best-preserved #Roman latrines. The benches are made of marble, they run along three walls - no stalls, there was no privacy in toilets in Roman times. #RomanArchaeology

St. Melangell, tucked into the Berwyn Mountains in Powys, Wales sits within an older circular churchyard of ancient origin. Some of the yew trees there are 2000 years old.

A section of wheel ruts cut into the limestone which Malta has many examples, dating is difficult but many seem to date from the late Bronze Age onwards but there are more questions than answers about these tracks #Malta

Don’t forget that tomorrow (31st January) is St Wilgils’ Day. Wilgils of #Ripon (also known as Wilgisl and Hilgis) was a C7th saint and hermit of Anglo-Saxon England and father of St Willibrord. How will you be celebrating?
