“If England gets beaten so does she.” This powerful campaign imagery & slogan was used by @NCDV_Official during the 2018 World Cup but is still relevant today. Shockingly, studies show incidents of domestic violence can increase by 26% when England play, & by 38% if they lose.

The feeling is entirely mutual … a reminder of what @MattHancock really thinks of @BorisJohnson - when it comes to hopelessness they’re all in this together!

On the 7th anniversary of the terribly early loss of the brilliant Rik Mayall I am reminded how he was a witness in one of my ‘less serious’ cases & when I told him I was from Birmingham, seamlessly gave his evidence in his brummie Kevin Turvey persona Nobody else noticed!

It isn't a war crime to destroy an empty building, particularly if you have identified a legitimate military target in it - in this case a Hamas intelligence facility

Anyone that knows @BeckettUnite know he’s an anti-racist. He’s acknowledged the wording of the tweet was wrong and clarified the point he was making & apologised. Not surprised that some have used the tweet to further their own agenda against him

PCS believes the mass return to work in jobcentres to be imposed from 17 May is irresponsible, particularly while infection rates rise due to new variants. Members who work in jobcentres should vote in our consultative ballot over safety (ending 21 May) pcs.org.uk/massreturn

When Labour were in government, Mandelson led a campaign to privatise Royal Mail. We beat him but he opened the door for the Tories to do it afterwards He is the one that needs space - well away from the Labour Party He shouldn’t be a member let alone an advisor
