Normalize telling them nothing & just move on.
LADIES!!! let's normalize telling men " i am no longer interested because the experience you provide makes me feel less of the woman than i am."

Joyce’s ego is what made her stay in that situation longer than she should have after that man made it clear that their marriage was over.

Freedom was part of the reason Menzi became an incel. he fed Menzi red pill content, and that's why Menzi kissed Lindani without her consent. that’s why he violated Lindani because he had been taught that this was the right way to handle women.
Why do i feel like Menzi would have started self-destructing much earlier if Freedom hadn’t been around ? Freedom was nonchalant about life in a way that sometimes helped Menzi realise that not everything happening to him was his fault. That scene where Menzi got scolded by his dad about finding a job ? He went to Freedom to complain, and instead of feeding the negativity, Freedom simply told him that girls like independent men. Just like that, Menzi found the silver lining in the situation. Freedom was many things, but he was also one of the few sources of positivity in Menzi’s life. #ThePolygamist

The reason this jonas story has taken off is because the African mind gets incredibly aroused by stories of infidelity 😭

I wanted to say this, but I held back. 😂 Netflix SA is really becoming BET. Fatal Seduction, Savage Beauty all going to number one. They know what’s selling.

In #ThePolygamist Jonasi’s excessive gifting of red roses to Matipa serves as heavy visual symbolism for manipulation, surface-level affection, and a toxic "love-bombing" dynamic. The overwhelming presence of flowers in this kitchen scene operates on several distinct symbolic levels: 🎭 Love Bombing and Distraction • Overwhelming her defenses: Gomora is a classic, highly manipulative corporate tycoon. In relationships, showering a partner with massive amounts of romantic gestures like burying her in roses is a psychological tactic used to overwhelm them so they overlook red flags or sudden disappearances. • When Matipa points out that he is trying to "create a garden," it visually highlights the absurdity of his overcompensation. He brings physical objects to substitute for genuine emotional availability, transparency, and a stable foundation. 💸 Transactional Love • Materialism over substance: As an ambitious corporate climber herself, Matipa initially seeks a life of luxury and power through Jonasi. Jonasi understands his relationships transactionally; he believes his wealth gives him the right to act recklessly because he can simply buy forgiveness later. • The endless influx of roses is Jonasi's way of treating Matipa like a prize to be maintained rather than a partner to be respected, attempting to purchase her compliance and patience. 🥀 Red Flags Disguised as Romance • Artificial perfection: Just like his wife Joyce’s heavily curated public life, Jonasi uses beautiful visual aesthetics to cover up the ugly truth of his infidelity and deception. The pristine, overflowing bouquets create a sensory illusion of a perfect fairytale romance, hiding the incoming chaos. • The thorns beneath: While roses traditionally mean love and passion, a literal "garden" of cut flowers in a house consists of dying plants. It mimics the true nature of their relationship something that looks breathtaking on the outside but is fundamentally temporary, severed from its roots, and destined to wilt under the weight of his secrets. #ThePolygamist #NetflixThePolygamist

Essie is actually not a victim. she knewwhat she was getting herself into when she started dating him, from when Jonasi would date multiple women right infront of her eyes. she enabled his behaviour, and thought she would be the exception when she got into a relationship with him

Does polygamy actually empower women or does it only benefit men? How does if truly benefit women?

Yes, the wife does get killed by an over ambitious mistress who will stop at nothing to be in charge of Jonasi🫩
Someone said in real life Jonasi doesn’t die, it’s Joyce who dies and real!!!

Contrary to popular views I love Matipa’s character so much because it also shows the lengths women are ready to go to get what they deem as “SOFT LIFE” from another woman. Now you’re bang that there’s no soft life just abuse smh.

Men love chaotic environments and they thrive in them, that’s why they’re always somewhere in the middle of the drama. It’s always a man excited to date girls that are acquainted or in the same friend group. Lurking in the shadows so that one day they can date their home boys ex.
