Valganciclovir prophylaxis for cytomegalovirus prophylaxis in the pediatric solid organ transplant (SOT) population assessed impact on neutropenia in pediatric transplant recipients receiving Valganciclovir.
They found when adjusting for GFR a higher valganciclovir dose adjusted for kidney function was associated with a higher log odds of neutropenia. They conclude accounting for BSA and kidney function is crucial when determining the risk of neutropenia.
