We would like to welcome Yakov (Yasha) Berchenko-Kogan to the department as a postdoctoral scholar. Yasha graduated from Caltech with a B.S. in mathematics and a minor in control and dynamical systems in 2011 and graduated from MIT with a Ph.D. in mathematics in 2016.
Congratulations to math graduate, Julia Trigg, who majored in actuarial mathematics. Julia will be starting with Cigna as an Actuarial Senior Analyst in July at their Philadelphia location. We wish you all the best!

Math 497 Student Colloquium will be offered in fall 2021. This is a 1-hour colloquium-style lectures in mathematics. You will be introduced to topics that are not covered in regular courses. Students will give a short presentation to their peers at the end of the semester.
