Did you know the 50 Yard Challenge is a year-round program?
It’s more than just mowing lawns—we also encourage kids to rake leaves in the fall and shovel snow in the winter. This means your child has an opportunity to serve their community in every season.
If your child is between the ages of 8–17, invite them to take part! By signing up, they’ll begin a journey that starts with a white shirt and a mission: to mow, rake, or shovel for the elderly, disabled, single parents, and veterans—all at no cost.
Here’s how it works:
•For every 10 lawns cared for, kids earn a new shirt color: orange, green, blue, red, and finally, black.
•Once they reach all 50 lawns, they receive not only their black shirt (like a black belt in karate!) but also brand-new lawn care equipment—a mower, weed eater, and blower.
This challenge builds character, responsibility, and pride while making a real difference in communities across the country.
