As a long run, 1:45 was plenty today @RunComPod and, to be fair, I’d had enough of being hot and sweaty so called it a day - me thinks it was a sensible decision.
But, Colwick Country Park was looking resplendent thus afternoon 👀

Still warm this morning at Sherwood Pines @parkrunUK - luckily it’s in a forest so plenty of trees and shade.

A testing 5k with @Heanor_RC in Shipley Park.
Not flat and was like running in an airless furnace but a cracking workout.
And, I’ll take sub 23 on that course in that weather @RunComPod

Trip to @rushcliffepr today and got a course best ever age grade and just 4 seconds of a course PB.
I know, I should have ran a bit faster @RunComPod 😂 but more than happy with sub 22 today.

Thursday afternoon and a trip to the old American Adventure site for 8 x 600m. Already getting warm @RunComPod but after this cold, dark, wet winter can we complain?
Racing this Sunday so the long one was rescheduled to Thursday.
Steady 10 miles amongst some green stuff dodging the showers and it felt okay!

Surprising how 7 miles can feel like a long run just two weeks after running(!) for over 4 hours.
But, rebuilding the endurance ahead of summer racing.

It’s been a slow recovery from @Marathon_Mcr but felt like the right time to see where my fitness is at. Trip to @beestonparkrun and managed a (new) course PB & discovered my max HR is actually 171 🥵
Focus is shorter faster stuff so a good start @RunComPod#yourweekendruns
If I can take 1 lesson from the @Marathon_Mcr it’s that 26.2 miles is a long way & anything can happen. My hip flexors decided to down tools at 18 miles @RunComPod
8 miles of run/walk/shuffle/hobble/stubbornness & I got my medal. Thank you all for your support
