Ambassador Brink fought hard for U.S support for Ukraine and served her country well. She was ambassador when Trump was President and was trying to navigate an impossible set of circumstances. Suggesting she was pro-Trump is disingenuous and just plain wrong.

But when she worked for Trump, she publicly defended him- even facing backlash from Ukrainians for a social media post thanking Trump for “standing up for America in a way that no President has ever had the courage to do before” following the disastrous Oval Office meeting with President Zelenskyy.
