If my shoes don’t stick to the floor and my view of the stage isn’t obscured by random beams, this replica will disappoint.

The last time I was stunned by a pilot was “Orphan Black.” The way the plot revealed itself, the economy of writing, and of course Tatiana Maslany’s performance. I was hooked.
What show do you think has the absolute best pilot?

On @MorningEdition today, @LeilaFadel had a great conversation with Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode (about a damn good new album too!). If you've got 7 minutes to spare, please give it a listen. If you've only got 3 1/2, listen to half. npr.org/2023/03/24/116557813…

Everything about this sucks (not David’s reporting, the news itself). I was spared but I’m not in the mood to feel relieved. I’m pissed for my colleagues and the talent NPR has jettisoned. Great people were shown significant disrespect this week.
Tough day at NPR: Four podcasts canceled, 10 percent of workforce laid off. We'll learn more about who is leaving the network in hours and days to come. My story: npr.org/2023/03/23/116555981…

1/ Three years ago, I was in the weeds working on what would become White Lies, @TBowmanNPR swung by to tell me about an alleged coverup early in the Iraq War. Together, we dug in. Today, we’re sharing what we’ve learned in NPR’s new podcast Taking Cover. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcas…

When I heard @tiannaesperanza's music I was captivated. Then I spoke to them and I was blown away. Trust me... you want to listen to this conversation, then go listen to their album 'Terror' npr.org/2023/03/15/116337320…

I love this thread. To show my age, I produced a series in 2002-2003 called The CD Wish List. What were the best LP’s that didn’t make it to CD? I loved that series.

De La Soul is finally available to (legally) stream. Death Row Records is back after a streaming hiatus. So what's missing now? Is there a song or album that's 𝙣𝙤𝙩 available to stream that you'd love to have at your fingertips?

The man who discovered Elvis would be 100 today. Producer Sam Phillips shaped rock & roll, but told NPR in 1993 that he wasn't necessarily conscious of creating a genre: "I think I was conscious of letting out the insides, emotional insides, of people." npr.org/2023/01/05/114705284…

Been in Indiana for a couple days for this one. I was just off-screen, where I belong.
Coincidentally or not, Trump chose to make his presidential announcement Nov. 15—the exact release date of a book by Mike Pence, who says Trump was “wrong” about the 2020 election and is considering a run himself. Here’s the @npr video interview: npr.org/2022/11/22/113846538…
