I’m afraid atheism isn’t “true by default”. It’s the rejection of a specific claim until that claim is supported.
That isn’t bravery. It’s how burden of proof works. If you claim there is a God, a soul, angels, demons, divine judgement, miracles, revelation, heaven, hell, and a cosmic monarchy supervising human affairs, you have taken on the evidential burden. I don’t acquire an equal burden merely by declining to applaud.
And no, atheism isn’t automatically a worldview. My disbelief in gods tells you roughly as much about my politics, ethics, aesthetics, metaphysics, or preferred sandwich as my disbelief in leprechauns.
This meme is basically remedial epistemology with cartoon fish. Which is, I suppose, on brand.
