I asked an AI to write a Bible song about ducks and I'm laughing so hard now I can't breathe
ALT Write a song about ducks in the style of the Bible Verse 1: In the beginning God created the ducks, He gave them wings so they could fly, Filling the skies with their quacking call, Their beauty is a wonder to behold. Chorus: Oh, the ducks of the Lord, They fly on high, Splashing in the water, As they pass us by. Verse 2: God gave them webbed feet to swim in the lake, A feathered coat to keep them warm, Their wings are strong and carry them far, From the water's edge to the stars. Chorus: Oh, the ducks of the Lord, They fly on high, Splashing in the water, As they pass us by. Verse 3: The Lord watches over His feathered flock, Providing food and shelter for them, He calls them to Him when He needs them, And gives them a home in the heavens. Chorus: Oh, the ducks of the Lord, They fly on high, Splashing in the water, As they pass us by.
Aww, somebody just stole my perfect startup idea. 😆 Blind Parisians have now got a taxi-bike service. Still not a tandem ride on-demand but that much closer to it. bimboum.com/
You’re not showing any commitment to the #disability community when you sack the entire #TwitterA11y team. That was a mistake, and the disabled - 15% of the global population - won’t forget that. @elonmusk
Meanwhile an update has been released and it works, albeit with some glitches. A happy day for the speakers of seventy something languages that have not been supported on Apple devices before. #a11y#i18n We've got Espeak on iOS! Yay!
Years ago, Google apparently offered a text-based generation of Maps directions in an easy way. I was too late to the party, but I found this instead. The simplest website possible that shows you all the ways you can get wherever you need. gdir.telae.net/
Interesting, especially that screen readers support is mentioned among the features. CC: @MosenAtLarge - Open source podcast manager for mobile podverse.fm/about
Fresh off the @Euroblind newsletter: an iOS app which, using the health data of your Watch, detects when you fall asleep listening to audio, then lets you continue or pauses automatically. Developer interested in feedback of blind users. @Appleviseuroblind.org/newsletter/202…
Just gone through the entirety of the homepage on a website in a foreign language. Didn't understand a word, including the purpose of the organization, but one thing was perfectly understandable: "Alt-text (optional, uses title if not set).

Thank you for the clarification, Salih. Congrats to you both! Hopefully the new API changes will some day let you make this available on iOS. Good luck!
Hey Paweł, the @erisiledroid portal was found by me and my fellow friends. The sample you heard is in Turkish, and its owned by one of our moderators. The dev of Elnur TTS has synthesized his voice.
While we marvel at the potential of porting our favorite voices at last, let's not forget the linguistic diversity void where this change will have the most impact. For some, this will mean access to Apple's technology for the very first time.
Can we finally get someone to port an Estonian TTS over to iOs now? Not that we have any good ones for screenreader use, but I am tired of hearing everything Estonian through heavy West-Helsinki Finnish accent.
#a11y#niewidomi
