24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend. Should be some great racing. First year for the Hypercar team from Genesis. They looked solid in practice and qualifying. Nice to see additional factory teams in the Hypercar class.

I have a strong preference for the type of customer facing employee who actually looks at me instead of being involved in a non-work conversation with their co-worker and blindly shoves a bag in my direction to signal the end of my rudely interrupting their social life.

Chick-fil-A has 37 cars in line with a wait time of just 1 minute 54 seconds. The workers make it rain condiments on me and treat me like I’m their favorite cousin.
Meanwhile, McDonald’s has 2 and a 1/2 cars in line with a wait time of eternity. The workers make it seem like their condiments are bricks of gold and treat me like I’m the stepdad they blame for their parents’ divorce.

I think I have finally found a cooling solution for my wife to help her shed heat when she wants to work on her gardens.
One of the bizarre things that the disease has done to her is that she sweats only on a rectangle on her back which makes it difficult for her to effectively shed heat when she is outside. Her shirts quickly become sweat soaked and she often fixes a towel to help soak up the sweat. The problem is that towels don't effectively allow for the evaporation of the sweat.
I have gone through multiple iterations of devices but it struck me that a Peltier junction device in conjunction with a fan or two and some mesh could be a good solution. Luckily I have found such a device and it arrived this morning.
We did a test fit and run and it seems to cool effectively with 2 Peltier junction devices and a couple of shaped plates on the cooling side of the junction that contact the body, worn above a wicking shirt. The fastening straps are a bit dodgy but I have some ideas for alternative straps to make it simpler to don and doff and easier to adjust as well.
