When I raised the plight of #NHS in 2017 & 2019 some smart arse would say “you say this every year” Read what healthcare professionals are saying. This is the culmination of 12 years of Tory rule. This is the tipping point we were warning about. It’s here.

Today is likely to be the bleakest day for the NHS. Major incidents have already been declared across the country prior to the ambulance strike. This has been evolving for many years of neglect of the NHS. This is not as a consequence of strike action, but the reason for it.

Not acceptable. People shouldn’t see this and think the only way to succeed is to be crushed like a grape or under pressure like a diamond! Burnout, stress or anything else like this should not be seen as a badge of honour

The NHS is one of the safest places in the world to have a baby but any woman who has a poor experience of maternity care is one too many. I want to make sure every pregnant woman knows that @NHSEngland is here for them, whoever and wherever they are. #BetterBirths

Racism in maternity care in the UK is insidious and because it is covert and subtle it’s hard to describe how you are feeling. The strong black woman streotype is killing us. We should be allowed to be vulnerable and scream in pain.” theguardian.com/global-devel…

My husband feared I'd die if we had more children, so he opted for a vasectomy. He'd rather me long for 1 more baby than let me die #myreality #ourtruth #babiesormylife
“In 1991 when my mum gave birth to me she was at greater risk of dying, in 2020 when I gave birth to my daughter that risk had increased” she says. “I’ll be damned if my daughter, whenever she decides to give birth, is 25 times more likely to die.” Tinuke, cofounder @MumsandTea
