Who loves Puffins, saw these on the Farne Islands yesterday , could get so close. It’s breeding time.

Incredible that Sebastian Sawe broke to the 2hr barrier on today’s London Marathon but he wasn’t the only Seb in the race. Sebastian Vettel made his Marathon debut and was the very last interview in the BBC’s coverage .

Always wanted to see the unraced Jaguar XJ13 . Yesterday spotted it in the workshop at the Jaguar Heritage workshop at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon. Perhaps a precursor to them running it again.

Today Jan Magnusson made us Turner owners proud at Silverstone - class winner and beating all the Elites. Shades of Pat Fergusson in the Tatty Turner 60 years ago! See my Facebook for more ⁦@BRDCSilverstone⁩ photos.

Saddened to learn of the death last night in Melbourne of Buzz Buzaglo. Buzz was one of the band of talented Aussies who came to the UK to find racing fame. In Formula 3 on the track he was very competitive , in the paddock he was a popular and big character.

So saddened to learn of the death this morning of commentator and pioneer of motor racing video production Neville Hay. Nev was one if the last links to 1950s Grand Prix and a friend of Peter Collins. Will file fuller tribute later. Huge enthusiast, wonderful story teller .

My race by race report of the Goodwood Members meeting now posted on the Motor Sport mag website. Doing what I did 60 years ago. Not sure if this is sad or not!

Round the back of Lidl I found this which might be part of Tram Surtees and along Fircroft Ave what was Monza House and Norton House. John Watson, Pete Briggs or Steve Robey can you add ?

Driving through Edenbridge so thought I would take a photo of the old Team Surtees factory in Station Road. It’s been demolished and replaced with a Lidl - I will spare you the snap!

Saddened to learn of the death of Dave Lucas, the man behind the scenes at Birmingham City Council who for five years made the SuperPrix happen . Great enthusiast too, MSA steward and sometime constructor of an electric motorbike before its time. Loved working with him.

Last night at the Dubai 24 reception barbecue we had fire jugglers. Behind, the colour neon stripes are on the Park Inn Hotel which overlooks the track. The Creventic people know how to put on a race and a party ⁦@24HSERIES⁩ ⁦@RSL_Studio

I commentated on this amazing event for ITV . Back in Dubai some 40 odd years to call the 2024 Dubai 24 Hr for ⁦@RSL_Studio⁩. Looking forward to what should be a really close battle.

Stunned to hear of the death of Gil de Feran who I met at his first British F3 race. Always engaging and enthusiastic , open and friendly. My profound condolences to Angela and the family.
