I don't.
Here is the thing. We are all sinners that fall short the glory of God.
Here's the thing people don't realize. Sin isn't bad because it's forbidden, it's forbidden because it's bad. It causes harm to you and others in some way whether you see or want to admit it or not.
None of us can be good enough to enter heaven, none of us are "good" in the first place. This is why God became man (Jesus) and lived the law perfectly so He could be what you can't.
The penalty of sin is death. God wants us to understand He takes sin seriously, He hates it, He's going to judge it and separate it far from Him, which is Hell. Jesus paid the price you personally owe, only asking for faith in return and allowance for Him to work on the sin in your life. He gives you a new spirit which begins the process of cleaning up your sin. Over time as you develop a close relationship, you start realizing just how sinful you are and it bothers you. This process of sanctification helps prepare you for your sinless flesh He'll one day give you.
Atheists bring up issues like "God should just remove all things bad." But what they miss is we aren't God. A big part of this process is us forming a relationship with Him as well as learning and understanding the "How" and "Why" over time.
Let's say God gets rid of all evil tomorrow. That includes you. You may think you're good, but none of us truly are, and on the day of judgment you're going to be faced with just how evil you are.
God loves you enough to where He gave His life for you.
So when you see the law says "homosexuals should be killed" understand that God views all sin this way. Lying, adultery, anger, envy, all of it requires death. This is why they had sacrifices, for it to sink in "That should be you."
God loves you enough to offer you forgiveness of something He deems worthy of death. He DIED in your place so you don't have to.
All of this is about an all-knowing perfect and just God trying to help His own creation learn that it's disobedience has upset Him, but He wants to forgive and have a relationship with it, and loves it more than it can understand. But it has a choice to accept or deny the hand extended to it.
In conclusion, we don't hate you. We love you, and are trying to help you see and take the same free gift of mercy and forgiveness that God gave to us.
Why do Christians hate gay people?
