Smol lore fact: “Just Use Aave” is actually a derivative of my original “Just Use Chainlink” from 2020/21. Back then, Chainlink faced a lot of criticism, but at Aave, we were the first to adopt it. While I appreciate the homage of the industry remixing my slogan (they even rehashed my Patek meme from 2020), it’s amusing to see people who've raised millions and paid top dollar for PR agencies copying a lone nerd who may or may not be wearing pants this morning. “Just Use Aave” resonates in this industry, especially after all we’ve been through. There’s a fatigue around “yield farming” in general; people simply don’t want to risk their capital for an extra couple percent yield with inferior solutions. They just use Aave because of our safety culture, relentless work, and innovation—things much harder to copy than a slogan. We don’t aim to offer the highest yields; We aim, and succeed, at providing the best risk-adjusted yields in the industry. Just use Aave.
