This is a future I dream of.
America would be so much better if we had adequate rail systems. Imagine being able to hop on a train in Atlanta after work on a Friday and be in Charlotte or Nashville in time for dinner.

You realize you’re doubling down on the use of a racist slur? Insane.
she’d be a roach if she was white, asian, hispanic, whatever the fuck. she’s just being a raging bitch and using hispanic voters as pawn to own the libs and ensure trump wins.

Are you telling me that after Florida Republicans made it almost impossible to sue your insurance company, those companies are deciding to not pay claims now instead of doing the right thing? Because that sounds... exactly like what Florida Republicans knew would happen.

After #JohnsonVGrantsPass, wins like this remind us that we need #housingnothandcuffs to address homelessness.
BIG WIN: Fed Court rules San Diegans can't be ticketed for living in their cars when they have nowhere else to go. As Penny Helms says, “You can't get rid of homelessness without creating homes.” We are proud to have played a small role in this victory. loom.ly/fTRm4mI

Developers, landlords, phony “housing advocates” who are really just developer PR, lobbyists, even people who run shelters… Everyone is gaining from the housing crisis EXCEPT tenants and unhoused ppl.

Harris has proposed giving $6,000 (via refundable tax credit) to families in the 1st year of a baby's life. Flint, Michigan has been doing exactly that for the past year. The results are incredible: -Fewer babies born with low birthweight -No families evicted in baby 1st year -Less hunger -Fewer moms smoking -A sense of "hope" among parents

It always works extremely well to just directly reduce child poverty, and the younger the bigger the lifelong impact. I wish there was more focus on expanding the child tax credit for kids older than 1 though. scottsantens.com/one-year-af…

Rural America is more than white, conservative, or Republican. It also consists of Black folks who have power. Black rural voters have consistently voted for the Democratic Party at rates of 90% or more. Why is their influence often invisible? NEW: capitalbnews.org/rural-black…

Happy Indigenous Peoples Day! Just a reminder that Native Americans are not a historical people, that we are still here, and that the biggest injustice in U.S. history—the dispossession of land from Indigenous nations largely by fraudulent treaties—remains ongoing
