I really don’t get it. These guys have thousands in DAU and with the advancement in AI being so rapid how is a game like this shutting down? Real talk we have in @misfitgalaxymmo a DAU of 15 in our playtesting it laughable right now. But we are self funding and bootstrapped and sustainable and we are not even in alpha yet. We have zero revenue and zero runway, just self funded. These guys have revenue and a strong playerbase. It might have slowed down but still… You really are out of options? We use AI in our pipelines which is now rapidly advancing our development and cutting massive cost. I keep seeing Web3 games getting shutdown and can’t help but can’t help but ask why? How are games like this with thousands of DAU not sustainable? You got incredible AI models out there making game development incredibly efficient and cost effective now. You can cut devs, dramatically cut cost and keep going. Not just dev cost AI has also made art incredible cost effective to produce. To me this is just founders not willing to pull themselves up and find solutions to keep going. The moment it gets hard for them and revenue slows down they blame market conditions and shutdown. Lord forbid you sacrifice, find solutions, and keep building. This is the weak founders getting pushed out so stronger founders with sustainable economies, better games and smarter more scrappy studios can build games in web3. This just clears the path for web3 games that can push through painful times and keep building.
