I had hoped I wouldn't need to post this. I don't invade my sister's privacy lightly, but I have no choice.
This is the only thing I can do to help her.
A 🧵
Clare has Rett syndrome.
She can't communicate and needs 24-hour care.
Her disability means her breathing's compromised.
We are very proud to share that our very own CEO and Founder @Sara McCracken has been nominated for C Level Woman of the Year Award with Women in Tech Awards 2024! 😃 Everyone at Empatheyes and @Angel Eyes NI will be routing for you tonight Sara!!

We did Final Year Projects differently this year - Optometry students displayed their projects in poster format and presented them to their peers & lecturers. It felt like our own little conference and provided a lovely opportunity for the students to showcase their hard work! 🤩
Our 7th Virtual Conference takes place this Saturday 18 May and is open to all, welcoming members, non-members and students. Tune in live on the day through our LinkedIn and Facebook pages.

Big thanks to Julie-Anne for running the Belfast Marathon for Angel Eyes NI, raising £1,169.75! The generosity from the supporters that donated is fantastic and will make a real difference in the lives of children with vision impairments. #children#marathon#visionimpairment

Looking forward to this and hearing more about the work to support people with intellectual disabilities - whichever country you are in this patient population will be one of the worst affected by poor access to eye care.
