Folks, the podcast will be on hiatus for a few weeks as work, family, and travel stack up for host and guests.
I'd like to return with a series of episodes on "building non-toxic communities".
Please recommend people and projects who've done this well or tried ambitiously!

Another fascinating thought from @jntrnr on @nu_shell "[we wanted] the error messages [to] feel like they're not slapping you on the hand, they're really trying to help you." That's the kind of design thinking I wish there was more of around.

An amazingly good point about teaching people complex interfaces is the importance of making something that users can "discover a piece at a time, rather than throwing you in and making you learn all at once."

This is something I'm trying to figure out how to balance. I think there is a real mistake when you adopt too much of the feel of another project, because it gives people expectations that the other pieces will work the same as well.

Before talking to @biwanczuk I didn't understand how much of deno is an opinionated toolchain. I think because it feels so much like a browser, I don't find its lack of configurability limiting, but I would complain about them in the node world.

I want an award for journalistic integrity for not editing out the dumbest question I've asked someone in an interview, where I clearly believe that @deno_land is actually executing typescript, and not just transpiling it behind the scenes.
