The PSA voters need to hear: A law written by @LorenaSGonzalez allows voters ballots to be counted, even if mailed on Election Day. But this law has been effectively killed for most of the state because of a change at the post office. Srsly. abc7news.com/amp/post/califo…

Folks who have signed up for the ballot tracker today got a detailed comparison to 2022 Primary. As an example, in the LA Mayoral race, Dem share of vote is down 11pts and Rep turnout is up 8.5%. But you can see the real drop is Seniors and Dem seniors specifically.

The data from @Political_Data shows almost 9 million ballots in as of yesterday, and @CASOSVote shows nearly 9m votes totaled. If you presume Reps were 90% no, Dems 90% yes, then math would suggest Independents were like 55% yes, 45% no. Exactly what polling was showing.

This last page with the boxes for White, Asian, Latino and Black Voters helps tell a deeper story about turnout. Looking here you can see how different turnout is, and also how much Latinos in particular are so heavily under 18-34, and those 18-34 Latinos are just 3% turnout.
