When Kaptur was first elected to the House in 1982, Reagan was president, Rep. Bob Latta’s dad served in the cong delegation with her, current Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and fmr Gov. John Kasich were freshmen House members, JD Vance wasn’t born yet and Ohio had 21 House districts.
