Quite honestly, this organization 100% deserves this for putting Stuart Fairchild in the lineup.
The Guardians are out of ABS challenges and couldn't ask for a review on a 3-2 offering from Tim Herrin. Called ball four to force in a run. Masataka Yoshida follows with a two-run single, and it's 6-4 Boston.

They always say the groundhog is 40% accurate. But it’s a binary outcome and over 150 yrs of predictions his 95% CI is approx. 32-48% so he technically has 52-68% predictive accuracy not 40%.

Suffering is not a competition. Health services researchers should strive to help everyone and should not invest in non-peer reviewed, one-liner, un-nuanced equivalencies on Twitter. The shame of the 2020s decade will be that science was touted by pre-print and Twitter.

Over 30 people have died from the tragedy of Hurricane Ian. But still ~440 Americans are still dying every day from Covid.

Earlier your team predicted an above average season. Is this lack of activity within the original model’s uncertainty bounds or did some original assumptions not hold?
This remarkably quiet Atlantic tropical cyclone period is likely to end soon. The National #Hurricane Center is currently monitoring three areas for tropical cyclone formation in next 5 days, with 80%, 70% and 50% chance of formation, respectively.

How about death statistics prior to pandemic? We cannot distinguish “die from” from “die with”.
Most likely due to greater point prevalence of infection. If 10% of the population has an active COVID case instead of 2%, then of course total deaths will be higher, even if case fatality rate is lower. This wave is the most infectious.

Frustrated late night parent tweet. The little buttons on onesies are impossible for the average father to snap and unsnap, let alone a tired father in the dark while baby kicks and screams. It’s untenable as a long term clothing solution for babies. Zipper onesies only please.

Your thoughts on this? For my 2 mo. old, I don’t know about vax at 6 mos. Mom got booster during 2nd trimester, symptomatic COVID during 3rd trim. & received monoclonal antibodies. He may have some protection & haven’t seen much infant data. depends which variant is prevalent?

Lifelong Cleveland fan here. For me there is no need to watch Game 5 tonight. I’ve already seen the best Game 5 in Finals history. It was exactly 6 yrs ago today. I guess I could watch highlights of that on YouTube instead. espn.com/nba/boxscore/_/game… @cavs @warriors

Have to get a manuscript 3,600 to 3,000 words. What sounds easier: delete 1 out of every 6 sentences, 1 out of every 6 paragraphs, or 1 out of every 6 words? All the same but my mind thinks paragraphs is easier.
