ALT socialistra We condemn in the strongest terms the stripping away of gun rights for our trans comrades. Trumps DOJ is far beyond the pale even in it's discussion. They cite the recent shooting in Minneapolis as reason to curtail the rights of trans people. Not only is this morally wrong, it's also politically driven propaganda. Trans people make up far fewer perpetrators of mass shootings than cis men, not only in raw numbers but also per-capita. Reactionaries are once again scapegoating our most vulnerable community members in their culture war, and if you think this ban has nothing to do with you, then you should ask yourself “how close am I to the margin?”
