🚨🇬🇧 The police failed Henry Nowak. He had been stabbed. He told them. They handcuffed him, arrested him, and told him he was making it up. That conduct was indefensible, and it is being investigated.
His father asked for one thing: that Henry's murder not be used "to create further hatred, division or tension."
Within hours, they did the opposite. Two of them are sitting MPs.
Nigel Farage addressed the nation: "White lives matter too." Reform's official account, which he reposted, said white people's rights matter less than those of ethnic minorities. He told the country to respond with "pure cold rage."
Rupert Lowe demanded that "any Indian who covered up for Vickrum Digwa must be immediately deported." Digwa is British. You cannot deport British citizens. The qualifier was "any Indian."
Tommy Robinson called a protest, posted "White Lives Matter," and reached for crime statistics about Black people. Digwa is a Sikh.
They called him an immigrant, an Indian, a Brown man, a Sikh, a stand-in for Black crime figures. They could not agree what he was. They agreed on one thing: he wasn't white.
Henry's father asked them not to turn his son into this. They were never listening to him.
