We can, and will do so much more if we're given the opportunity. Amazing analysts working for the NHS need access and resources to be innovative and productive. We need to stop talking and start doing...
‘We are already collecting massive, massive volumes of data just for them to be sitting there’ Pouria Hadjibagheri, who helped lead the UK’s Coronavirus dashboard, says part of the solution to NHS pressures could be using data more effectively bbc.in/2Ps915G

The United Kingdom has endlessly appeased the criminal regime in Iran. The Prime Minister speaks of protecting the innocent civilians of Iran but failed to act to help stop the regime’s massacre of 40,000 innocent Iranians in January. Only an end to this regime - that brings terror to Britain’s own shores - will yield lasting peace and regional stability. Keir Starmer should follow in the footsteps of Churchill, not Chamberlain. He should support the Iranian people’s fight for liberty. The Iranian people will remember who stood with them in their hour of need and who stood against them. There is still time for the Government to change course: prosecute the IRGC that slaughters innocents, expel the illegitimate regime's ambassador, and act to support the people of Iran.
The two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran today is welcomed by the UK and our allies. The goal now must be a lasting end to the war. Alongside our international partners, the UK will work to ensure a return to freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

That was no civilian infrastructure.
US-Israeli strikes hit Tehran's Sharif University — known as Iran’s MIT & a hub of student protests against the Iranian regime. Targeting civilian infrastructure is a war crime & only solidifies the regime's power. Trump & Netanyahu have no plan, just more wanton destruction. apnews.com/video/ict-buildin…

Sharif University of Technology is not just Iran’s top engineering school. It is a talent pipeline for missile, cyber, and dual-use military programs tied to the regime and IRGC. That is why the US government sanctioned it. sanctionssearch.ofac.treas.g… federalregister.gov/document…

Sharif University of Technology (founded as Arya Mehr University in 1966) is an icon of modernization and progress in Iran. Its alumni include the first woman to win the Field Medal in Mathematics, Maryam Mirzakhani. It has been a national symbol of achievement, gaining international recognition for the quality of its graduates, large number who have been admitted into the very best engineering programs in the West. The aim of this kind of wonton destruction could only be the nation of Iran itself.

Interesting read.
If you have read Javad Zarif’s recent Foreign Affairs article, you may be interested in this leaked message, which he sent to an insider circle of Iranian analysts in the early days of the war, just a few days after it began. parpanchi.com/p/what-javad-z…

An IRGC missile malfunctioned and struck a residential area in west Tehran.
Additional reports indicate this may have been a failed air defense missile launch west of Tehran.

Talk therapy is not going to fix the world's Iran problem. The regime is brain-dead, and its agents are acting on muscle memory: - Seeking de-escalation through escalation, - and buying time through pointless diplomacy. Told @ariel_oseran and @owenalterman on i24.

The latest @NewsweekOpinion op/ed by @KhosroIsfahani and @Pouriaaa. Well worth a read. Let us know what you think. Check it out @Newsweek. newsweek.com/anything-short-…
Iran regime is brain dead and acting on mussel memory. With zero creative thinking, it has again resorted to Deescalation Through Escalation. The solution? NOT talk therapy but Absolute annihilation or Total surrender, @Pouriaaa and I argue in @Newsweek. newsweek.com/anything-short-…

You don't bomb a regime, absorb the cost, and then negotiate with what's left of it — that's not strategy, it's surrender with a press conference attached. Read my byline with @KhosroIsfahani in @Newsweek for free. newsweek.com/anything-short-…

They never do... Though this time I guess they weren't quite available for an interview either. The Economist is great. You just have to read their analyses, them you know what's true: the opposite. Remember this nonsense? economist.com/leaders/2014/1…
Great analysis @TheEconomist - clearly you didn’t bother to ask Iran’s Air Force, Air Defense, Navy, Rocket Forces, Ministry of Intelligence, cadre of nuclear scientists, last three IRGC commanders or the Ayatollah how it’s going….
