Steven Bartlett, host of the podcast, The Diary of a CEO, released an interview with Christian apologist, John Lennox, this week, and his closing comments to him were fascinating:
"One of the most compelling arguments for God that you've presented (and your way of seeing the world and being) is not actually necessarily anything you've written in your books or not not necessarily anything you've said. It is actually you.
You have a certain peace and contentment that I rarely see in people that I interview, but I often see, and I've almost always seen, in the Christians that I've interviewed, and this is a interesting phenomenon for me...it seems to be a trend that a lot of the Christian apologists that I've interviewed have that anchoring that so many of us are looking for."
What a great witness.

This is quite an aside from my usual posts, but I feel it necessary. The sudden surge of "Christians" attacking Michael Heiser here on X is, at best, ignorant and misguided, and at worst, hateful and anti-Biblical. His works are scholarly and intriguing, not altering the Gospel, but adding (or rather, recovering) another aspect of it that deepens and enriches our love for God and His Word. (On the positive side of these new attacks, I'm finding new people to follow, those who respectfully defend the scholarship!)

Guy has admitted to never reading Heiser.
I’ve also never met a single Heiser fan who is a polytheist.
His stance was simple: Elohim is a “class of being”, specifically a being of spiritual nature.
Yahweh is the only uncreated, sovereign Elohim. Not polytheism.

Michael Heiser made it cool for Christians to talk as if the Bible teaches many gods exist. I don't claim to know exactly what Heiser himself believed. But many of his followers cheerfully affirm polytheism and don't seem to realize it. Blog post dropped 👇

Re-reading this banger.
One of the most underrated King novels, maybe THE most.
Why? I’m guessing two reasons:
1). It was a Hard Case Crime novel.
2). It was released right in the middle of the “new King is bad” era.
