After all these years I’m still learning thanks to his & others dedication.

We can only “build up” ONE?
They are BOTH deserving of every accolade they received.
Pitting them against each other is participating in the narrative that one was less deserving. Nope.
When I was a kid I was obsessed with everything and anything to do with @michaeljackson then in the late 90s I discovered @prince and realised that the world built up the wrong person and that @prince was more just of the accolades of what MJ got.
Radio 6 will be devoting the whole day of music on 21 April on the 10th anniversary of the death of music god his royal badness prince Rodgers nelson ... #prince4ever
On this day 39 years ago, Prince released 'Sign o' the Times' — a double album masterpiece of funk, rock, and soul. He played almost everything himself after The Revolution. One of the greatest records of the decade.
Yo @elijahwood me thinks you’ve been had. What yr describing sounds like a #bootleg I’ve seen at flea markets.
you not knowing the timeline (Black LP is circa 87/88 & replaced by #Lovesexy) tells me u were ripe for the picking.
The Rolling Stone Studio at #SXSW: Elijah Wood
@elijahwood talks to Rolling Stone about one of his prized possessions: A rare promotional record of Prince's 'The Black Album'
"I have one that's a white album, the sleeve is white and the record is peach."
Wow, I really whiffed this. 🤦♂️ I was off chronologically by 2 years. Of course I know that the Black Album was originally slotted to be released as a follow up to Sign o’ the Times (he apologized for the shelved album in the video for Alphabet St.) The promo I own is from the rerelease in 1994 and it’s a white sleeve, white vinyl with peach lettering.
Such great memories of this night & the @ArsenioHall show as a whole (& the Party Machine) I had just graduated HS so staying up late was all good to catch it.
Those are my 4 fave tracks from that LP The Continental. Good times, I miss #Arsenio on TV
DID U WATCH? 33 Years Ago 2day, Prince appeared on Arsenio Hall in 1993. The show lasted for about an hour and 45 minutes as Prince decided to re-do a couple of songs before their performance was aired. They performed My Name is Prince, The Morning Papers, Blue Light & The Max.
