Marjane Satrapi, author of the acclaimed animated movie Persepolis and the graphic anthology Women, Life, Freedom has died. May her memory be a blessing.
Through her singular artistic vision, she exposed the realities of the Islamic Republic to an international audience and gave voice to the aspirations of Iranian women and all those striving for liberty against the repression and intolerance of the Mullahs.
In her memory, and in solidarity with the people of Iran, we will not be bystanders, but will continue to advocate for an Iranian society where all its citizens can live freely.
