I'm breaking my Twitter fast to share this for friends and admirers of Helen De Cruz (formerly @helenreflects on here). She been a shining light in our field for so long. This looks like a wonderful way to celebrate her life.

I really should have left long ago, but didn't want to leave the friends I had here. I just can't justify it anymore. I may lurk, but don't want a single cent of mine going to Musk. Thanks for the good times, friends. Bye.

American politics is like if Cha Cha Slide was playing and got stuck skipping on “Slide to the right!” for all of eternity.

There's someone at the DNC right now saying that this is the only way we'll win next time.

I can't think of a single redeeming value this man currently has. Even if we take his claim to want to advance humanity at face value, every thing he does is antithetical to that goal.
Elon Musk is a horrible father.

Sorry, but we're running a Charlie Crist/Mike Pence ticket in 2028 and they will be called the most radical leftist ticket in the nation's history.

I was hoping for a decisive Harris victory. That ain't happening. In fact, I'm worried she isn't even going to get a narrow victory. She's under performing compared to Biden in too many areas for me to sleep soundly tonight.

For those unaware, it's the masks. There are people who think that having children mask during the pandemic was a crime against humanity. I've seen more than a few call for the execution of anyone who did it.
What is this supposed to mean?

Happy Halloween. I asked ChatGPT to make me an image of zombie Descartes looking to eat disembodied minds. Here we go.

Has anyone else noticed that a ton of people on here have put "polymath" in their bios and seem to know very little about anything?

I just joined BlueSky a minute ago and already got my first bot follower. It already feels like Twitter.

I had a dream last night where I was trying to put together proposals for Cambridge Companions to Grice and Plantinga. The former was a labor of love for a philosopher that I think the world of. The latter was an attempt to get a paper I wrote in grad school published.

I finally checked out this TikTok thing the kids are always talking about. I'm sad to report that it's not a social media site dedicated to the discussion of Tiktaalik, the first fish to make it's way to land 375 million years ago. What's wrong with these kids?

Are you a cop? You have to tell me if you're a cop. It's the law. I expect every one of my followers on here to answer.
