THIS JUST IN! 🎥 Yesterday, our long-time colleague, Prof. Hasan Jeffries (@ProfJeffries) of Ohio State University, spoke at a rally of over 1,000 students to denounce SB1. In an era of deep censorship and repression, we SNCC veterans are re-energized by the many students and educators standing up for justice. SB1 is a dangerous bill that seeks to dismantle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs in higher education, silencing voices and erasing fact-based history. But OSU students and faculty aren’t backing down. We are extremely proud of those continuing the legacy of resistance. From the frontlines of the Civil Rights Movement to today’s fight for equity in education, the struggle continues.
