Friends, please check it out #NoAryans I had a wonderful discussion with @Pallavi_Aus @TheAusToday -No Race Aryan -Founders Zone for non-African genetic history- Make C and Female M in India 73KYA -Advanced Metal Age (Neo, Chalco, Bronze)- prehistoric golden era- our foundational era- only continuity from then onwards; no replacement
🔥🧬 Genetic evidence places India at the centre of early human history, debunking 'Aryan' migration theory. Renowned historian, @ProfVemsani says the oldest non-African male and female genetic lineages trace back to India, overturning long-standing colonial interpretations of human origins. What’s this Iranian Neolithic farmers came to India theory? We had 8-types of Neolithic farmers spread across India who were more advanced and were widely using Iron tools and weapons long before 2000 B.C.E. Those non-iron using farmers would have been annihilated in no time if they ventured into India at that time (between 1900-1600 B.C.E., as they say)

We are studying caste system al wrong. We are taking the system that the British colonialist state gave us and trying to go back and impose it on any kind of social terms found in texts and inscriptions even though it’s suspect if they existed in the exact same form as modern caste system.

Too apologetic! Shouldn’t India ever standup for itself? We have been forced to listen for over a thousand years
My latest #TharoorThink column in the @IndianExpress looks at a cultural phenomenon more and more foreigners are noticing: the reflexive desire of the argumentative Indian for victory, rather than learning, in every conversational engagement. I ask why this is so and why it needs to change

It’s sad that Aurobindo is not included college curriculum. Selections from his Savitri and Secret of the Veda should be required reading
Obviously, the learned gentleman is not acquainted with Sri Aurobindo's "Secret of the Veda." As a civilization, we have done ourselves such an injustice by not studying this epitome of daring & pathbreaking scholarship. @integralyog @AuroSociety @saapondicherry @saadelhi @PariksithSingh

Exactly! The poor Indians don’t know what they are thinking! They have to be analyzed and studied by outsiders to know what they thought about their own country and its policies. This is how Indian voices were suppressed from all narratives created about India by colonialists. #Hinduphobia then they tell us how we have to think
Perhaps actually having an Indian working in India in the field comment would be useful? No shade on the scholars now in the programme but would there be such a programme about how Americans think about the world without any American working in America on it? Almost certainly no.

I appreciate you bringing this up @HindolSengupta I can’t believe these folks are still supporting this type of colonialist modus operandi of manufacturing narratives about the native colonial subjects with authority. The colonial subjects are rendered mute and their voices are represented by colonialist narratives. What Indians think about themselves is not known to them but known only to colonial intellectuals. As they said “One can’t trust the native savages” to speak their mind you know! #ColonizedMinds these sepoys are more dangerous than the colonists.
Additionally - it doesn’t matter what has existed in the past. No one is talking about the past. That does not mean this particular framing is correct. Because it’s not. It could have and should have had a key stakeholder voice.

Pointy-eared horses are indigenous to India. The red-clay horses are special to Bankura. Horse statues are placed at goddess temples across India painted in vivid colors…
Did you know? The most distinctive feature of the iconic Bankura Horse is its intricate Chandmala. Meaning "garland of moons," the Chandmala is a series of crescent-shaped ornaments that adorn the horse's neck and body. Which detail catches your eye most? #BankuraHorse

What kind of argument is that? Do you know Constitution of India is ratified in 1950? Are you disputing that the the first elections are held in 1951-1952. A constitutional position counts after constitution is ratified and first elections are held. Seized positions or nominated PM positions don’t count. Consult the constitution of independent India.

Yes, Delimitation is important! Also the concept of northern and southern. We should follow the classical understanding of southern and add Maharashtra and Gujarat to southern regions- not just the four states mistakenly conceptualized by the British as south. The nomenclature should change too.
