These bills lay the groundwork for a new class of distributed energy resources in Oregon, giving communities a defined pathway to plan, finance, interconnect, and operate microgrids that improve resilience and unlock local economic value. The conversation also surfaced what comes next, including the Oregon PUC AR 681 rulemaking that is now translating the legislation into workable interconnection rules and tariff structures.
