Bitcoin has thousands of philosophers. Almost all of them are financial and societal.
Mechanic is the only technical philosopher and it is ABSOLUTELY imperative that his rationale be heard.
People need to stop deferring to @giacomozucco for their opinions on BIP110. His stance is one long rationalization for inaction in a circumstance where it's deeply needed.
