"You've been filtering arbitrary data out of your mempool for 15 years. Here's why that's suddenly dangerous you need to stop."

If you ask someone if they went to Epstein island and their answer isn't "No" then their answer is "Yes".

People need to stop deferring to @giacomozucco for their opinions on BIP110. His stance is one long rationalization for inaction in a circumstance where it's deeply needed.

Correct, Bitcoin is hosted in our living rooms. The internet is not The more you explain the more clear it is that you don’t have an argument

Bitcoiners that signal for BIP-110 are just maxis from 2022.

If a developer reaches the point where the egos of the Core devs feel threatened he'll be chased out quick. The resulting sycophantic monoculture is going to result in issues until more people realize that its no longer a competent team capable of maintaining Bitcoin's reference client
The main reason I didn't merge privatebroadcast to @BitcoinKnots, was that I judged it to be underreviewed and prone to bugs. Since Core merged it in January, there were several followup fixes proving I was right, even before 31.0 was released. They went ahead and released it anyway.

"BIP-110 catches almost no spam." That's become the main argument against it. By raw transaction count, it's not entirely wrong. But count is the wrong metric. After decoding every OP_RETURN on Bitcoin for the last 60 days: 91% is now one funded protocol: Alkanes -> Millions of tiny mints BIP-110 won't touch (and shouldn't, that's relay policy's job). But those mints exist because contracts were deployed for them. - Deployment = a WASM binary in a Taproot reveal. 627 of them in 60 days. - Every single one rejected by BIP-110. You don’t stop a metaprotocol by filtering its mints. You stop it at deployment. 👇 blockspaceweekly.substack.co…

Twice as many BIP-110 signaling blocks this period, compared to previous. And still 200 blocks to go. It’s pretty clear that BIP-110 support is growing. thebitcoinportal.com/live/no…

Running RDTS on Bitcoin Knots version 29.3.1 on one of the two nodes that I manage as of today. Bitcoin is a monetary network, not an arbitrary data storage network.

Number of BIP110 signalling blocks: 25 Number of URSF signalling blocks: 0
Bip110 is actively malicious software. I encourage devs to encode their opposition by writing a *good* URSF against it. Here is a starting point: github.com/supertestnet/ursf… I also encourage node runners to review and run *good* URSF software (i.e. not mine) x.com/i/status/2064392747755…

This is the appropriate stance to take. It says that as a business, you have tested the incoming UASF and you are ready to adapt to changing consensus rules. No serious business in Bitcoin can afford to appear negligent when it comes this. Last time plenty of businesses made announcements similar to the one below, and those that went further offering more vocal support increased their popularity and gained loyal customers as a result - @coinkite and @BULLBITCOIN_ being two great examples.

For purposes of coin.dance reference link, I'm tweeting that TREZOR is at least ready for UASF.

OP_IF in taproot 👇
Of the 130M taproot OP_IFs on-chain, 99.6% of them are hardcoded never to run. They are of the form: If 0 = 1, execute X Zero never equals one, so X is never intended to be executed If taproot is designed to execute code, OP_IF is 99.6% a system hack GitHub and plain text 👇
