To get a sense of what we do, come to the fundraiser we're hosting on June 12 to benefit Noisebridge, a makerspace in the Mission that has been hosting our workshop--for free!--for the past four years. You will hear some of our writers read their work and meet some hackers!! 7/7

One of the unique things about our workshop is that we are both a community group -- everyone's welcome, no questions asked -- and a professional writing group. 2/7

San Francisco Writers Workshop is celebrating our 80th anniversary this year. According to lore, the workshop was started by two female poets in 1946 in the aftermath of WWII, and has been meeting every Tuesday night somewhere in San Francisco ever since. 1/7

THE HAMLET CALLED AMERICA, THE LAND OF RICE AND OPIUM, MEDUSA’S GAZE — three very different books all coming out this fall, co-translated by yours truly. Will I go (fully) insane before all the ARCs are finalized? Let’s see!
These 10 books by Ukrainian writers are set to be published in English in 2026! ( 11th, but the publisher has not been revealed yet.) — see the thread and share!
