Over the weekend, our team was hard at work on the Red Line between Silver Spring & Forest Glen, finishing concrete to install rail fasteners essential for safety & reliability. These crucial components secure the tracks, ensuring proper gauge, alignment, & load distribution. 👍
The final Overhead Catenary System pole has been installed at the future Silver Spring Station. 1,187 OCS poles now stand across the entire 16-mile alignment. From the final rail placement in May to the OCS poles installed in June, the Purple Line continues to move in motion
