๐๐ข๐ฑ๐ฑ๐บ ๐๐ฆ๐ธ ๐ ๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ from all of us at #Q2Systems!
Stepping into 2026 places us firmly in the second quarter (Q2) of the 21st century, and we are most delighted to be building systems that can keep up with growing needs.
๐ q2corporation.com/2026-2050
ALT The first quarter of this century was defined by digitization: taking legacy processes, institutions, and behaviors and translating them into software. We built platforms, scaled connectivity, optimized speed, and automated execution. That work unlocked access, reduced friction, and connected billions.
But it also reached its limits.
What worked for the first 25 years of this century is structurally insufficient for the next 25. The world we now operate in has changed faster than the logic guiding its design.
The next quarter of the century demands a different foundation.
Q2 is building Africaโs next-generation innovation infrastructure โ from AI-powered farms and logistics systems to interactive simulations that make learning profitable, and we invite you to dream with us.

I just finished reading the book #AppleinChina: and more than my appreciation of the incredible storyteller that is @PatrickMcGee_, the book also got me thinking about how China ideally โwonโ, but also specifically how @Apple built @Huawei, all other competitors, and really... China.
The [not so] common narrative is that Apple built the #iPhone in China, but the book delves deeper into the more interesting story: that China used companies like Apple as classrooms. In many ways, Apple helped build the ecosystem from which competitors like #Huawei would eventually emerge.
Today, Chinese companies are setting the pace in industries ranging from telecommunications and EVs to batteries and AI.
One of the best books I have ever read, and I share in my most recent podcast episode more insights on a few things the global south can learn from Chinaโs journey towards global domination.

Thank you so VERY much for honoring my work, and pivoting with me, through the years. To know that my simple existing, and my choice to build publicly inspires you to step just a little bit further is the gentlest honour.

Started my day with @theICHADProject in Lagos, having a conversation with Africaโs youth.
I spoke on the topic of โPredictive Productionโ as a possible next frontier for Africa: how we can get crystal, build technical skills, and leverage 4IR technologies to build what Africa truly needs.
Thereโs a specific focus on โIndustries Without Smokestacksโ in my writings, and I truthfully hope the next generation of young Africans can lock in.

Very excited to have 3 @MichiganStateU#ComputerEngineering students working with us this summer at @Q2Sys. This week, Braden and I are taking on #MichiganTechWeek, and we are having a BLAST doing it!
I met Braden when I spoke at @TEDxMSU โ he was my student liaison, and he shared with me that he wants to be an #EdTech entrepreneur.
And what better way to learn about tech entrepreneurship than working with a startup? ๐๐๐ค๐ฉต

ALT The Kwathu Kollective is launching a new opportunity for young creatives, technologists, storytellers, artists, and aspiring developers across Malawi to help build the countryโs first commercial video game.
Through the Nyenyezi Fellowship โ Game Development Edition, selected fellows will work alongside the Kwathu team during the 2026 Xbox Game Camp Africa in contributing to the development of Kwathu Smart Innovation Farms [KSIF] โ an immersive simulation game exploring agriculture, infrastructure, logistics, innovation, and African futures through interactive storytelling and gameplay.
This 12-week immersive fellowship is designed to expose young Malawians to the growing global games industry while helping build real products with real-world impact.
Fellows will receive mentorship and exposure connected to the broader gaming ecosystem through initiatives such as Xbox Game Camp Africa.

Over the past few months, my students from the Malawi University of Science and Technology [@MUSTMalawi] working with the #KwathuKollective [@KwathuKonnect] have been developing agricultural technology systems, including AI-assisted crop detection and farming operations simulation and planning tools.
As part of this work, they wish to better understand how farmers are actually making decisions on the ground today, rather than building purely from assumptions.
The student team has launched a baseline study focused on farming operations, decision-making, and agricultural technology adoption.
If you are involved in farming, or know farming households, we would deeply appreciate your participation and support in sharing the survey within your networks.
We are especially hoping to gather diverse insights from across multiple African countries so the solutions being developed can become more continentally relevant.

ALT At @Q2Corporation, we are building the future of farming and gaming through Kwathu Smart Innovation Farms (KSIF) โ a bold initiative that blends real agriculture with immersive simulation gaming.
๐ฑ Smart Innovation Farms โ Real-World Impact
Our physical farms across Malawi are being designed as living laboratories for sustainable agriculture. Here, we test and showcase new practices in food production, agri-tech, and community resilience โ building blueprints that can be scaled across Africa.
๐ฎ Kwathu Farms โ Farming, Reimagined
Weโre turning these real systems into an interactive simulation game โ Kwathu Farms โ where players learn by doing:
- Plan, grow, and manage crops and livestock.
- Navigate real market forces, taxation, and governance.
- See how individual choices ripple through communities.
